  PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

August 2008

NJUWYFA Membership,

I bring you greetings as the President of the New Jersey Unlimited Weight Youth Football Association (NJUWYFA). The 2008 football season is here and I hope everyone is just as excited as I am!

This should be the best year ever for unlimited weight youth football in the State of New Jersey with two State Champions (American and National Division) being crowned for the first time.  Four teams each will be placed in a Division by a drawing. First round match ups will also be determined by a drawing. First round winner from their respective division will play each other for a state division championship. The first round games will take place the weekend of December 6th and 7th. The championship games will be on Saturday, December 13.

The Jr. Skyland Football Conference, Twin Valley Football Conference, New Jersey Suburban Youth Football League, Mercer County Football League – Jr. CVC, South Jersey Independent Youth Football Association, Cape May County Jr. Football League, Tri-County Midget Football League, and the new member of the NJUWYFA the Bi-County Junior Scholastic Football League will each send their respective league champion for an opportunity to become a state champion. The state championship series will help our association in its goal to provide and promote competitive football. We must remember, however, that we are teachers of the basics of tackle football and in turn assist in developing our players for high school football.

Please e-mail me at pdsumners@hotmail.com if I can be of any services to anyone interested in unlimited weight youth football. Good Luck to all our member leagues and their associated teams for the upcoming season.

Sincerely,

Paul Sumners

President

NJUWYFA
